North Carolina is a direct access state and therefore a physician prescription or referral for physical therapy is NOT required for you to be seen in our practice; you can call us to make an appointment right now. Having quick or immediate access to your physical therapist can often be the difference between your condition being temporary and chronic.
We treat a wide variety of pelvic health conditions including urinary, bowel, and sexual dysfunctions among others. Please don't hesitate to contact us to find out if pelvic floor can benefit you.
Physical therapy in the comfort of your home (with the option of visits in our office as well). All that is needed is a space to set up a treatment table and you!
Each one of our patients is treated as a unique individual. During the first visit, we will engage in a comprehensive discussion of your medical history and YOUR primary concerns. Following this, we will conduct a thorough exam to assess your body's movement patterns. If deemed necessary and ONLY with your consent, we will conduct an internal pelvic floor assessment in order to evaluate the state of your pelvic floor muscles and their contribution to the concerns you're coming in for. Finally, we will collaboratively establish goals and a personalized plan of care.
Yes, pelvic floor therapy is safe during menstruation. If this is still a concern, please inform the therapist during your visit.
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing or gym clothing as it is important to have access to visibly examine and treat the body, muscles, and tissues.
Currently, we are unable to provide physical therapy services for clients with Medicare or Medicaid.
